HVO-Querido is a healthcare organization that has existed since 1904 and is active in Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Diemen, Haarlem and Hoofddorp. With more than 1,400 employees and a budget of 117 million, HVO-Querido offers support to approximately 5,000 citizens in a vulnerable position at 75 locations. HVO-Querido is based on what people can do; the wishes and needs of the person requesting help are central. HVO-Querido supports in a vulnerable situation in their efforts to (re)gain control of their own lives and to fully participate in society.
HVO-Querido offers various forms of shelter, housing, residential counseling and daytime activities. Depending on the needs, psychological, physical and/or social support is offered. If possible, family, friends or other close relatives may also be involved. In doing so, they always work together with other (care) organizations to coordinate the offer and to organize the best for the client.
In recent years, HVO-Querido has become hard; the performances impressive. The number of clients receiving care has doubled and the number of employees is also pros. The organization is highly valued by clients, employees, cooperation partners and clients (financiers). This also concerns the growth of its role as a network partner and as a co-designer of changes in the sector and in society. The H knowledge and expertise center of VO-Querido is also active on a national and international level to develop MOBW.
The size of the organization brings another range that calls for new structures and modern business operations. With attention to the human dimension of clients and employees is a new form of planning & control, where the content is. Furthermore, has developed a new starting point for producing future plans executed to concrete results.
All in all, HVO-Querido is working on the start of new standards, such as the start of care outcomes, developed outflow percentages and making the quality of life of people in a vulnerable position. HVO wants and can lead the way and be innovative. These ambitions require time, effort and focus from everyone.
The organization is made up of real doers who know how to collaborate and work with others to provide the best care or support. They do this based on the three core values of HVO-Querido: together, equal and with guts. These core values form the guideline for the Multi-Year Policy 2019-2023.

Management, supervision and employee participation
HVO-Querido currently has a two-member Board of Directors, with Douwe van Riet as chairman with the operational portfolio and Jessica Wesselius as member with the healthcare portfolio. The Supervisory Board consists of seven members. They subscribe to the Healthcare-wide Governance Code and to that.
The participation of contacts at three levels: client committees for the separate programmes, associated relations councils, the security services, which advise the management and a central contact council as discussion partner and advisor to the Executive Board. Employee participation has been formalized in a central works council.
Cover Supervisory Board
Due to the expiry of the term of office, a vacancy arises for the position of Supervisory Board. The lid is designated on the recommendation of the Works Council. The full Supervisory Board meets ten at least five times a year. In addition, you participate at least twice a year in the consultations with the Works Council and the Executive Board. As part of the position you become a member of the remuneration committee. Part of the extensive follow-up visits to the various locations of HVO-Querido locations and discussions with employees of the Works Council.
We are looking for a supervisor who has knowledge and affinity with the field of care and welfare, and in particular social care. You have broad knowledge and expertise in the field of (strategic) HRM. HVO-Quido aims to be a learning organization in which we encourage employees to further develop principles themselves as resilient employees on the basis of intrinsic talent, motivation and professional competence. The supervisor we are looking for has an affinity with the principles of a learning organization and cooperation in network connections within and outside the own organization. In addition, knowledge about the function of the Works Council and a view on the employer’s role of the Supervisory Board towards the Executive Board are important. You also have experience with assessment and remuneration of the Executive Board.
