The Tourism Councilor of Pisa Paolo Pesciatinithis morning (April 21) he welcomed and wished “good progress” to a group of walkers of the Cai of Bologna and Pesaro ready to go along the path of the Way of Etruria. The place of departure was the Tumolo of the Etruscan Prince. It is a new route of paths, 155 kilometers long, which at the moment crosses 14 municipalities and 2 provinces, and involves the cities of Etruscan origin. It currently connects Pisa with Volterra.
“We want the Etrurian Way – said the councilor for tourism, Paolo Pesciatini – take more and more and an example of attention from enthusiasts and tourists was given this morning when the large group of walkers began to walk it for the first time ever, starting from the Tumulus of the Etruscan prince. I am very satisfied with today’s day which saw the participants go through unusual and characteristic places of our city, such as via San Martino. With the route of the Way we wanted to include in the route those that are the places that include the widest tourist offer of the city and the territory, so as to allow ever more widespread knowledge “.
