Debrecen offers a future for the best in vocational training
It is safe to say that Debrecen is currently experiencing its golden age, as the last ten thousand jobs have been created and three billion euros of working capital investment has arrived in the city.
Said Lajos Barcsa in his welcome speech. The deputy mayor added that although a mayor always judges his own city subjectively, when international organizations recognize the achievements of Debrecen, citizens can be proud of the results achieved. He mentioned the Financial Times magazine, which repeatedly praised Debrecen’s performance.
– However, it is not enough for the city to have a professional economic development strategy. It is not enough, we have industrial parks where, in addition to huge investments, small and medium-sized enterprises can also appear and start their activities immediately. It is not enough to have an international school, an international airport. It is very important that educational institutions, such as the Debrecen Vocational Training Center, also play their part. However, he puts it there, as there is noteworthy, high-quality institutional work going on in them. there has been a large increase in recent years, as the city has set itself the goal of expanding capacity in vocational training and increasing the number of students. All this was done without dilution, so the quantity did not go to the detriment of the quality. Heads of institutions, teachers and students also have a big role to play in this, the deputy mayor explained. Lajos Barcsa expressed his appreciation to the students for choosing the right professions with good timing and sense. He also added that the awards presented will hopefully give students another charge to continue their successful studies. The deputy mayor said
those who choose a job in Debrecen will surely be able to find an immediate answer.
Sándor Szilágyi, the director general of DSZC, called it an honor to be in the company of people who do more than average. He praised those present who set out on a journey that would end up being among the best in the country.
– Few believe that those in vocational training have an exceptional ability. For my part, I know, and I always stand by, that we have a lot of talented students in our institutions, ”the principal said, then turning to the students, saying:
You will shape the future. Debrecen is waiting for you, it offers you a future. Take advantage of this opportunity!
