Dalmatian ‘Dead and Weak’ Saved From Roof In Malta After Owner Goes On Holiday
A vulnerable female dog has been rescued and is receiving proper treatment and care after being found in a terrible condition.
“Somehow a cruel excuse of a man went on holiday and left this poor Dalmatian on the roof. She was literally starving to death with every bone in her body visible, and so weak that she could barely walk like a normal dog, ”said activists from the Association for Abandoned Animals, who shared pictures of the Dalmatian after her rescue.
In the image, sores of pressure could be seen around her body, which activists said emerged from “lying on a hard base”.
“This dog only knew a life of hell and neglect.”
Dalmatia was rescued after a person reported the situation to Animal Welfare, who came in and removed it from the roof. It is now being cared for by the AAA, with activists vowing to “never again suffer from hunger or pain.”
They noticed that her name was Wincey – however, she did not respond to the name.
Activists ended by urging the courts to impose heavier sentences against anyone found guilty of injuring or abusing animals.
“Animal Welfare will be taking this case to court and we really hope that the courts will give results. The last sentence handed down on appeal of another case of a dog that lived all its life on the roof and ended up dead was the least disastrous, “they concluded. “Of course, the magistrate was not the victim – or the sentence would have been different.”
