Colomiers: Under-20 international Max Auriac on loan from Toulouse
Colomiers should soon register the arrival on loan for the 2022/2023 financial year of the versatile three-quarters of Stade Toulousain Max Auriac. Discussions are well advanced.
It’s only a matter of days. Max Auriac (19 years old; 1.82 m; 84 kg), the back of the Espoirs du Stade Toulousain with whom a three-year lease extension is on track, should indeed be loaned next season in Pro D2, at the neighboring columerine.
The under-20 international, also capable of playing in the center or at the opening, who played four of the five matches of the last Six Nations Tournament, will thus find a way to save playing time among professionals and to toughen up in an ambitious club of the second national level.
A formula that has already proven itself since Thomas Ramos had taken advantage of his year spent alongside Michel-Bendichou (2016/2017) to reveal himself and then make himself a place of choice on his return to Stade Toulousain.
Max Auriac therefore represented the club’s first recruit to the dove within the three-quarter line, the opener of Bayonne Pablo Ordas having finally declined an offer to probably take the direction of the United States.
Tuimauga for three years
In addition, Colomiers recorded this weekend the signing of the Samoan Tietie Tuimauga (28 years old; 1.86 m; 120 kg). The international pillar (2 selections) of Connacht, able to evolve both on the right and on the left, has signed up for three seasons, one of which is optional.
Finally, note that the CV of another hope of the Stade Toulousain is currently circulating on the offices of Top 14 and Pro D2 clubs: that of the opener Gauthier Rufas. If Racing 92 has not been followed up, its name is also circulating in Bayonne.
