In the 2021-22 planting season, 25,000 seedlings were planted in the Park Forest in and around Budapest. The significant amount alone is complemented by tens of millions more naturally hatched saplings. The planting was thus mainly used to increase the biodiversity of trees and to restructure forests.

The planting of shrubs, for example, plays a particularly important role in this, as it plays an important role in the habitat development of the first generation forests on the Pest side.

According to the forest plan renewed this year in the forests of the capital under our management, the proportion of areas treated with continuous forest cover will be increased from 42 percent to 75 percent.
