Sant’Anna 1984 alongside Ukrainian refugees
Sant’Anna 1984, Social Cooperative of Rome specialized in home care, goes to the forefront to help the Ukrainian population who arrive in Italy fleeing the conflict, by the specific will of its founder, Kristina Tatenko, born in Russia and raised in Ukraine until adolescence, before moving to Italy. “I consider Ukraine my land, my grandmother, my aunt, my brother and my nephews are still there. Although I have lived in Italy for 15 years and here I feel at home, since the beginning of the conflict my heart has been in great suffering. For this reason I could not do anything and I decided to give my help, both personally and as a company ”, says Kristina Tatenko. “In addition to the financial support sent directly to the military in Ukraine, my mother and I hosted a 22-year-old girl, Aliona, who left her family in the city of Kharkiv and reached Italy with her little dog after a trip devastating 6 days. We welcomed her into my mother’s house in Santangelo Romano, with the hope of giving her back some peace and serenity, waiting for her grandmother and aunt to arrive too ”. But Kristina didn’t stop there and decided to involve her company and her staff to help as many people as possible. Sant’Anna 1984, in fact, deals with home care for the elderly and sick people and can therefore offer a valid employment opportunity for all people who have arrived in our country who, once recovered from the shock of having to leave their home and everything what they had, it must have been necessary to find a job. “Our idea is to help these people learn the language and train them as basic welfare workers, thus making them independent and at the same time relieving the Italian state from maintaining refugees,” explains Tatenko. “Next to our registered office in Via Monte Napoleone in Milan, in our operational offices in Rome and Cernusco sul Naviglio there are training classes that take place three times a week and in which we train all the operators who will take up service in our families . In these classes, the managers teach the future to manage the people who will go to assist resources, through the use of all the aids that are indispensable in the assistance, such as the lifter, the wheelchair, the walker and so on. Street. We would also like to integrate Italian courses into courses, so as to allow refugees to learn the language more quickly, with a particular focus on the vocabulary of the home sector. We have already created and made available a large vocabulary with the most important and necessary words and phrases to use during work ”. But there is more: Sant’Anna 1984 has in fact recently launched the project “I Paradisi di Sant’Anna”, an initiative aimed at the most suitable accommodations and at the most advantageous costs for health workers. Even refugee people who wish to join the world of Sant’Anna 1984 will be able to take advantage of this important support, sharing the home with other operators, so as to never feel alone again.
