Russia tests Sarmat missile amid war with Ukraine
Russia announced the successful test of the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile. The launch took place at the Plesetsk cosmodrome and became the first in the state test programs.
Training warheads of the rocket passed the test site in Kamchatka.
The President congratulated me on the ordinary tests of the rocket. According to Vladimir Putin, “Sarmat” is not in the world. According to preliminary data, the Sarmat will be put on combat duty at the end of the year.
Tests of the intercontinental missile of Ukraine took place against the backdrop of a Russian armed invasion due to major and ongoing hostilities. At the same time, the US Department of Defense reported that the tests were ordinary and did not represent a crime against Washington. The Pentagon clarified that Russia duly notified the US of the clearance.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in a recent interview with CNN said that all countries of the world should be prepared for Putin to use nuclear or chemical weapons. Bloomberg sources do not rule out that Russia may resort to limited use of weapons if it encounters a setback in the Ukrainian campaign.
For the first time, the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile with a nuclear engine became known from the events of Vladimir Putin of the Federal Assembly before the meeting in March 2018.
It was later determined that Putin used footage from an 11-year-old computer video showing a nuclear missile being used by the state of Florida to demonstrate the operation of the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile in Putin’s proliferation. The American media then wrote that all four missile tests conducted from November 2017 to February 2018 ended unsuccessfully.
