Russia has softened the conditions for loans to backbone enterprises
The rate on preferential loans issued after April 15, 2022 will be up to 11%. Previously, the level was constant – 11%. “The decision was made taking into account the key rate of the Bank of Russia up to 17% per annum,” the Cabinet of Ministers said in a press release.
The day before, the head said that the limit on concessional lending for industrial enterprises and trade organizations would also be increased: one company could receive up to 30 billion rubles instead of the previously available 10 billion rubles. The maximum loan amount for a group of companies remained the same – 30 billion rubles.
Decisions to revise the requirements for loans were received by small and medium-sized enterprises that are subsidiaries of backbone organizations, but were not observed on this occasion. They can get up to 10 billion rubles as a loan.
In addition, it is now supposed to apply for preferential loans to backbone organizations involved in the sale of government-registered securities.
In accordance with the schedule for consideration of programs of backbone enterprises of industry and trade, preferential loans in Russian banks for replenishment of working capital for up to 12 months at 11% per annum (similar launch programs for agribusiness and fuel and energy enterprises with a rate of 10% and 11%, respectively) . The Government of the Russian Federation decided to allocate 40 billion rubles to finance the program, of which this amount was increased to 120 billion rubles.
The need for lending to strategic enterprises was estimated at 1.5 trillion rubles for basic industries, Interfax reports.
