National demonstration on April 22: STIB expects disruption to the network
The STIB network will be hindered on Friday 22 April due to the national day of action organized by various trade unions. The carrier advises its travelers to take their precautions and, if possible, provide alternatives to their plans.
On Friday, April 22, a national day of action will take place on the initiative of several unions to demand better wages and a placement of the law on wage margins. In Brussels, the trade unions meet in the Ravensteinstraat in the center. This bet is therefore not directed against STIB, but will have consequences for the traffic of buses, trams and metros.
Disruption expected on the network
The STIB network is tackled from the participation of part of the national manifestation, to which is open by the common trade union front. The planned plans in the city center will have consequences for STIB traffic.
Provide alternatives if possible
Although it is expected today to know to what extent the call from the trade union front will be followed and what impact it will have on the bus and tram traffic of the STIB, it is expected that its network will be disrupted. STIB asks its travelers, as far as possible, to provide alternatives to its public transport offer to get around on Friday.
Inform travelers
The STIB will inform its travelers in real time throughout the day on Friday. The information will be available on the website www.stib.brussels, the mobile app and on the social media channels Facebook (facebook.com/mijnstib) and Twitter (@STIBMIVB).
Customer Care will be available that day from 6 a.m. to answer questions by phone on 070/23 2000 and on social media.
