MONACO

Ligue 1: Clément and Monaco continue, a sharing during the match of fear, Metz goes to Ligue 2

Sugar Mizzy April 20, 2022

This Wednesday was the 33rd day of Ligue 1.

Bordeaux-Saint-Etienne 2-2

Despite a two-goal advantage, Bordeaux conceded a draw at home against Saint-Etienne (2-2) in this game of fear. The Girondins, 19th, remain four points behind ASSE, 18th, in the standings.

Mara opens the scoring for the locals (16th), 1-0. Carried by an audience totally behind his team, the Girondins quickly made the break from a new corner thanks to a header from Onana (23rd), 2-0. The Greens were able to revive about ten minutes from the break on a cross shot from Bouanga in the area (33rd), 2-1.

The Bordelais will retreat and finally crack in the second half by conceding the equalizer on a shot from Nordin (65th), 2-2. Bordeaux will even be very close to sinking on a new strike from Nordin which will crash into Poussin’s crossbar.

Lorient-Metz 1-0

Moffi (ex-Courtrai) and Lamkel Zé were aligned at kick-off. The visitors thought they would take the lead in the 16th minute thanks to a nice cross volley from De Préville’s right on a perfect serve from Lamkel Zé. One but finally refused for a foul by a Messin earlier in the action. Metz will monopolize the ball at the end of the match but Lorient will finally snatch the victory in additional time thanks to Ouattara (90th + 4). The Messins are heading towards the L2…

Monaco-Nice 1-0

Another great operation for Clément and Monaco. The Principality club won at home against Nice (1-0) and climbed to 4th place in the standings.

Thanks to a handball from Benitez, decisive a few minutes earlier ahead of Ben Yedder, Golovin opened the scoring for Monaco just before the break (45th + 2), 1-0. In the second half, the Gym will push to come back to score, in vain. The locals will have the opportunity to make the break but Ben Yedder will not be successful on a lob which will hit the post of Benitez.

Reims-Lille 2-1

Three Belgians were starters during this meeting: Busi and Faes on the Reim side and Onana on the Lille side. After four games without a win, Reims returned to success against Lille (2-1).

The locals opened the scoring thanks to Munetsi, opportunist on a ball repelled by Jardim (31st), 1-0. LOSC will then rely on a personal feat from Renato Sanches to return to the game via a missile from the right from outside the area (56th), 1-1. Reims won at the very end of the match with a superb curling shot from Abdelhamid from outside the area (90th + 2), 2-1.

Troyes-Clermont 0-1

Clermont won on the wire in Troyes. Despite their domination and the expulsion of Seidu in the 70th minute, the locals did not find the fault in the second half and also finished the match at ten following Baldé’s red card for a forward tackle on Djoco. Bayo will finally offer the three points to Clermont by winning their duel against Moulin at the very end of the game (88th), 0-1.
