Another significant warming is coming in Slovakia: Mercury thermometers will attack the magic line! Coming soon
Slovakia has another frosty night behind it. In some areas, the temperature dropped to minus 6.6 degrees Celsius at night from Tuesday (April 19) to Wednesday. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) informed about it on the social network.

“The coldest was traditionally in the mountain valleys in the Slovak Paradise, while in Vernár and at the station near Dobšinská Ice Cave the temperature dropped to minus 6.6 degrees Celsius,” they approached. The inhabitants of the lowlands are also having a cold night. “In the eastern part of the Danubian Lowland, the temperature has dropped occasionally below minus four degrees Celsius (Levice district, Lontov station, Žemberovce),” they added.
The meteor explained that the conditions for a more significant drop in air temperature had occurred during the past night. Cold air flows into the territory of the Slovak Republic, there is little cloud and no wind or light wind. “It will warm up in the coming days, but at the end of the week there will be more clouds and precipitation,” pointed out.
She confirmed that the night was extremely cold, especially seriously. It has been snowing heavily since Monday and many roads are covered with white blankets. In the group on the social network Dopravný servis Orava, the photos of the road between Zuberec and Oravice are white, the roads are unpaved and there is a continuous layer of snow on them.
However, according to the Meteo Slovensko portal, the situation will start to change rapidly today. In Slovakia, warm-up warming is falling and temperatures will be attacking the 25 degrees Celsius. They reminded that the Easter weather was cold, rainy and windy. However, it was not only a problem this year, similar Easter reversals have been happening for several years. Shortly before Easter, the mercury of the thermometer also rose to 20 degrees Celsius. And similar temperatures will be the following days.
“In the middle, the pressure will be lower than Russia, which will push the clouds and cold air from the northeast, but in reality, in such a distribution, it will start to warm both at heights and at the ground. Compared to temperatures, they also jump by 2 – 5 ° C. In most of Slovakia it will be 6 ° C to 12 ° C, in such a southwest up to + 15 ° C, ” pointed out the portal. They added that Thursday will be similar and the weather will be affected by the warm air from the south. This will cause temperatures in the south to reach 20 degrees Celsius. On Friday, it will temporarily cool down slightly, there will also be showers, and Saharan dust will be released into the air again. Paradoxically, the warmest should be in difficult Slovakia, where they will also temperature 14 degrees Celsius.
However, this cooling will be short-lived. “Cooling will end between Friday and Friday. On Saturday, the warm airflow from the southwest to the west will resume, with temperatures close to 20 degrees. In most areas it will be 9 to 17 ° C. However, you should read with showers, rain and storms. Watch out again for Saharan dust, which will be in high concentrations and can fall with the rain” said the portal. The warming should peak on Sunday, when the mercury of the thermometer should rise to 25 degrees Celsius in the west. Gradually, however, Slovakia will cross another cold front, which will bring with it heavy showers and storms, which can be even heavier.
Even if it cools down slightly next week, the temperature drop will not be significant. “Temperatures on this day will be able to attack +20 ° C. According to the first assumptions of the numerical models, with the passing of the next few days next week, there is a possibility that it will warm up again and perhaps the most significant this year, ” concluded.
