A hub for the promotion of tourism in Lazio will open in Rome
A tourism hub will open in Rome and will be a stone’s throw from the Baths of Diocletian. The Lazio Region, in fact, will renovate a property it owns in via Parigi, Castro Pretorio area, to then dedicate it to the promotion of the tourist offer in Italy and around the world, but also to host foreign delegations.
It will be a place of visibility and representation to promote Lazio as a tourist destination. The renovation works will allow to maximize the potential of the property, to create an open space useful for sharing work, according to an approach defined by energy efficiency policies, to reserve spaces useful for co-working and premises to be allocated to the regional offices of support to the Conference of Presidents of the Region.
“A new modern, innovative and social place through which to promote our tourist offer. A sustainable and efficient technological hub will rise within a unique space overlooking the Baths of Diocletian. A place that will not only be representative, but which will also have shared workspaces. The future of our Region passes from the relaunch of tourism, we are aware of this and we continue to invest in the sector ”, declared Daniele Leodori, Vice President of the Lazio Region.
“Given the age of the property, it was necessary to intervene to undertake a renovation work and create enhancement of the environment, this will require the creation of an innovative and efficient tourism hub that will be a reference point for companies and associations of category of the sector – the words of Valentina Corrado, councilor for tourism -. In rethinking the spaces, the beauties that surround the structure were considered, so large on the Diocletian baths will be our window on history and archeology, whose uniqueness will also be perceived from the inside in order to make the dialogue between art plastic, history and tourism in what will be our place of representation “.
