According to the Czech minister, this is an example of Czech aid to Ukraine against Russian aggression. Ukraine will provide minor repairs of military equipment itself.
At the beginning of April, the Czech Republic sent several dozen older types of non-modernized T-72 tanks and old Czechoslovak BVP-1 combat vehicles to Ukraine. The vehicles are a gift from the Czech army, which was agreed by the Allies within NATO. They are to assist Ukraine in ground defense against Russian attacks.
