RC Lens-FC Nantes: the prefect of Pas-de-Calais prohibits the arrival of Nantes supporters on April 30

“The existing antagonism” between supporters
Indeed, the Prefect of Pas de Calais published an order on Tuesday April 19, detailing its decision to “take measures to ban Nantes supporters from the stadium and downtown Lens”, on D-Day. He simply explains it, it is “ because of the existing antagonism between the supporters of the two teams” and “in order to guarantee the smooth running of this meeting and the safety of people”.
The measures will apply all day Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., and will concern “any person claiming the quality of FC Nantes supporters, or behaving as such”. It will thus be forbidden, for supporters of Pays-de-la-Loire, to circular or park in a perimeter which includes the city center.
In addition, on the evening of the match, “the possession, transport and use of all firecrackers or smoke bombs and any object that can be used as a projectile as well as the possession and transport of all alcoholic beverages are also prohibited”, finished l ‘stopped.
