‘Jacopo Sb’ with his music flies from Terni to the Fluc Wanne in Vienna
The Terni musician Jacopo Sb – born Jacopo Sabatini – is planning his first date abroad: on June 3 he will be in Vienna at Fluc Wanne. Meanwhile, on April 26, her next single, titled ‘We Rode the Stars’, will be released on the Spotify platform. All this for Jacopo is «a great satisfaction because it all derives from the music I produce without any agency or the like».
Jacopo Sb
Jacopo Sabatini, aka Jacopo Sb, comes from Terni and music has always been his passion. «I have never considered myself a real deejay – he says but a boy who tries to exhibit – what he feels within the tracks they produce. Year after year I have managed to create a good name within the house, deep house and especially lo-fi house music community; for this reason I have had many releases for various Italian and foreign vinyl labels and many other ep on cassette. My style travels from the very relaxing deep house chillout to the old school “Chicago” house passing through my beloved lo-fi house. I entered the lo-fi world a few years ago and have never abandoned it. This is a particular style characterized by grainy electronics, equalized in such a way that it sounds as if it were being read from a cassette tape, full of bass and composed using rather simple synths and samples. Of course I have my own Spotify channel where I post all my singles and collaborations. Currently I count about 12-13 thousand monthly listeners. I was lucky enough to put music in different places around Italy thanks to the collaboration with labels and collectives: Milan, Bologna, Pisa and obviously also in Terni, but I think I’m known more outside the region than in my city. It seems strange, but I think it is so ».
