It’s after Easter. The war will start in Slovakia as well.
… After the Easter holidays and in Slovakia the wave is rising again, carrying the foam of the bad past. The offensive of the former communists, swordsmen, slots, ficovs and their fascist masquerade procession is coming. At the end of April and in May, they are preparing mega protests and are also threatening a general strike. It is no coincidence that a bloody offensive by the Russian occupiers is being prepared in Ukraine at the same time.
Behold, the years of reckoning with the West and its democracy seem to be both Putin’s and Ficov’s or Kotleb’s – within reach!
When, if not now? The developed world is affected by the consequences of crises and problems, such as here since II. sv. there were no wars. The Covid-19 pandemic and its mutation raged for two years. This has induced political instability in democracies. But as soon as the subsequent economic consequences developed, Russia’s war against Ukraine multiplied them. And as President Putin openly said – it’s a war especially against the West, Ukraine is only on the battlefield. It is also clear that the Russians have been stimulating rising energy and raw material prices since the middle of last year. With the attack on Ukraine, the hitherto extreme rise in gas prices (and thus electricity) has further flogged them. In the end, they achieved that they were making money from Ukraine’s bloodshed – even at the expense of who they were going to destroy: the states of the European Union.
At the same time, the Russians are waging a “warfare”, causing millions of people to exod from Ukraine to the EU. These costs are also to fall on the shoulders of the exhausted EU. It’s part of the war plan.
In the past 20 years, our Pro-Putin column was personified mainly by politicians – former communists disguised as Social Democrats, then communists disguised as nationalists and, finally, pro-Russian fascists. This is also the case before today’s opposition. It is a strange opposition. It is unusual even in such an unusual story as the one about Slovak politics.
Ever since the 2020 elections, our political opposition has taken every straw, in terror of a “catastrophe” – namely, that they could be held responsible for the crimes committed. And indeed: there are corrupt Fico judges, illegal prosecutors-general, and thieving police officers – etc., etc. – in the sum of half a hundred others.
There is only one of the opposition leaders after the final trial: Kotleba (a condition, but it also deprived him of a parliamentary mandate). Others are waiting and afraid that, under the weight of witnesses and evidence, they will be thrown overboard by their longtime comrades-in-arms. Therefore, in fear of the government, they fight against the motto of the desperate: the worse (for Slovakia), the better (for us). There was no belief in a pandemic in a country where politics would not combine with it – except in Slovakia, where the opposition publicly calls for citizenship to reject the vaccine and to ignore other anti-pandemic measures. How many people have died so needlessly? Nobody had time to count yet …
Fico, Pellegríny, Uhrík, Kotleba… instead of showing opposition leaders in Slovakia during the pandemic, those who help are organizing “infectious” protests and rallies, taking advantage of all kinds of destabilization of the state and early elections.
But they will try even harder now that the Slovak household is in financial trouble for the war adventure. Russia’s high energy prices, especially gas and electricity, are starting to crush us. With that goes, high inflation.
And the fifth column says: we told you! After all, the Russians have us in hand! Let’s just dance like Putin whistles… and maybe his blessing won’t make our gas more expensive.
The above-mentioned opposition, pro-Russian politicians have in recent years been symbols of local resistance (sometimes open, sometimes “sub-line”) to Western values - but in addition to them, Russia can also rely on the masses of pro-Russian “useful idiots”. There is not much talk about these, after all, from the point of view of the media, they are rather so-called nameless people. . You may even know one or two of them and now you are talking – but let’s leave them alone. These good guys are neither politicians nor paid Putin agents… so what about us? You’re right, they’re not paying. And yet the consequences of their actions (whether it is appearing in public or in elections, etc.) are as if they were paid by Putin. Moreover, today is a war…
The damage caused by “useful idiots” during the three decades of state and democracy building in Slovakia is difficult to count. As voters, they have always stood on the side of the Communists overthrown as Social Democrats, the Communists, outnumbered as Nationalists, and on the side of other Western opponents. They used to chant under the pro-Russian Swordfish, then under the pro-Russian Fico, the pro-Russian Kotleb…. latest straight for Putin. It has always been a disaster for Slovakia, but pro-Russian “useful idiots” are still taboo. Why?
Well, let’s admit that who among us wouldn’t have some of those “college graduates” in the family? And what’s worse – who of us has not been “crazy” by any of our acquaintances or even friends in the last decade under the influence of the Russian hybrid war? … I guess this is the reason why we do not like to talk about an otherwise key phenomenon of Slovak citizens who are disoriented in value or outright desolated. But that doesn’t change the fact that he often decides the outcome of the election. And so I move our world.
We haven’t even talked for years about how our electronic media (especially public television) creates day by day an ambiguous, value-obscured perception of a world in which there is neither truth nor good. Everything is “half and half” in it…
This “probable” report on the reality of the world is said to be spread to future generations and many teachers (up to a third of whom are “tutored” from extremist media!).
The phenomenon of the “half and half” world in our country also affects people from various state structures – from judges, prosecutors, police officers, soldiers – from the management of primary, secondary and higher education institutions – to the ranks of government officials.
The state of the Slovak Republic, which is democratic according to the constitution and the international anchorage, employs and lives thousands of people who are not satisfied with its constitution, are known by law… and some even with its state establishment and international anchorage.
It is an absurd state of the state and its elites. And yet we managed to get used to it. We pretended that our state needed loyalty – but it was all in times of peace. They ended 24.2.22. Since then, we have been neighbors of a cruel and bloody war. The questionable loyalty of civil servants in key institutions is becoming our serious weakness, or even a question mark over the future of the Slovak Republic… and the Kremlin dictator knows about it. He has a long-term search here and, since November, a network of spies who have revealed all the weaknesses of our state. Putin knows that although the Slovaks have been forced to worship a sick ideology from the Kremlin for 40 years – many, even after this degrading experience, admire the Russian autocracy, as well as the cult of the “great USSR”.
Although we are also a nation that the Russians insidiously attacked on August 21, 1968 – about a third of us stand by them as aggressors who invaded Ukrainians just as insidiously and enthusiastically. Incomprehensible to reason, but this is obviously not the case here…
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………… ..
This taboo, the fifth column of Western doubters and adherents of the cult of the “Carpathian model”, must be opened openly in Slovakia. The last 2 years have confirmed that it is in Slovakia that the fifth column is the most numerous and the most risky for the future of the state, among all the states of Central Europe.
The masses of politically disoriented and uncertain values have been holding us back since November, when the local totalitarians had to hide their coats for a while. Later, however, they became rich, controlled (or rather abducted) by many influential media, and eventually the state. And today, the former communists and fascists are the main risk to the future of the Slovak Republic. And with them are the masses of fools who dance to them and Putin.
After Easter 2022, both will watch the Ukrainian bloodshed in anticipation of Russian triumph, and domestic satisfaction. Slovak pro-Putin politicians hope in particular to restore the system of impunity for political elites, and – of course – in their return to power (whose loss it will never risk again).
Their followers, the local “useful idiots” of VV Putin, have no personal purpose other than that “my words have occurred.” Nicollo Machiavelli once wrote this about similar ones:
“And I saw a bunch of gravediggers holding hands and dancing and singing: welcome to the plague!” (Nicollo Machiavelli: on the arrival of the plague in Florence, 1521). At the time, the Renaissance gravediggers apparently did not understand that the joy of the extinction of Florence could easily end for each of them if it was achieved by what the dances wished to others.
And just like the blind are the Slovak gravediggers of democracy from the spring of 2022. Today, they are shaking hands with joy at the deepening crisis. But the crisis (whatever) will no longer defeat the Democrats, but it will stick together. This has always been the case in the past and will be the case now. And what about the anger of the poor, who are now being chased by the Ficots, Pellegrines and Boilers in protest? In a crisis, he can easily control himself against the real robbers of the state – against themselves. Honestly: that would be fair.
