Derby OGC Nice – AS Monaco: jerseys sold in an auction in favor of Ukrainian refugees
On the occasion of the derby on Wednesday April 20 at the Stade Louis-II, AS Monaco and OGC Nice unite in favor of Ukrainian refugees. An auction of match jerseys will be organized and the profits will be donated to the Secours Populaire des Alpes-Maritimes, a long-time partner of the Gym, committed to Ukrainians who have fled their country, reports the club in a press release. The Alpes-Maritimes department is one of the main refugee reception departments.
To do this, the jerseys will be auctioned on the platform MatchWornShirt from this Thursday, April 21. The funds contributed to financing of the emergency aid provided to the many families received in the Alpes-Maritimes and which includes, among other things, foodstuffs, clothing, hygiene products for adults but also and above all for children, school kits, furniture, French lessons.
Refugees in the spotlight during the meeting
While volunteers from Secours Populaire and refugees were invited to attend the derbya representative of the association and a volunteer will fictitiously kick off the meeting in order to honor their dedication since the arrival of the first refugees.
