Walking distance from Yaroslavl to Rybinsk. The expedition of the Great Russian Northern Route project will return to the region
Nearly a hundred kilometers on foot. Participants of the Great Russian Northern Route project run from Yaroslavl to Rybinsk. The expedition will start on the first of May, scheduled for the seventh. This is reported in the regional department of tourism.
The hiking program includes the Kazansky and Tolgsky monasteries in Yaroslavl, Leteshovka, the right-bank and left-bank parts of Tutaev, Khopylyovo, Demino. At the end of the visit to the Yaroslavl region, the project participants will visit Rybinsk, get acquainted with the city and go on excursions.
Galina Krokhmal, director of the tourism department of the Yaroslavl region: “Last year, the project participants visited Pereslavl-Zalessky and a number of other settlements and in total tried it on Yaroslavl land for more than two weeks. Everyone had the most positive impressions – the guests were able to touch the page of the past live, find a place with a unique chosen one. The project, as well as possible, corresponds to the spirit of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”, aimed at developing domestic tourism and getting to know your country. I am glad that the organizers have shown a sincere interest in the region, and I am sure that no matter how many times the project participants return to the Yaroslavl region, they always find something new and interesting for themselves here.”
The Great Russian Northern Way is a project organized by representatives of the Federation of the Northern Footpath, attracting pilgrims, local historians and tourists. The route runs from Moscow to the Solovetsky Islands. Its total length is two hundred kilometers.
