Toulouse. A walk for “the good health of Toulouse residents”
As part of a prevention policy, the town hall of Toulouse offers fitness courses open to all. This Tuesday, April 19 from 9 a.m., the municipality is organizing a walk for seniors.
The shoes are ready. Tuesday, April 19, 2022the Toulouse City Hall offer a walk for seniors. This initiative is part of a prevention policy led by the municipality. Other fitness trails open to all are organized by the town hall to “contribute to the good health of Toulouse residents”.
A walk from Saint-Cyprien to the Grand-Rond
From 9 a.m.the discovery walk for seniors will leave from the interior Saint-Cyprien square. The loop lasts 1h30 and plan to take them to the Grand-Rond. Patricia Bez, deputy mayor in charge of health, and Marine Lefèvre, municipal councilor delegated to the senior info point, will participate in the march.
This initiative is intended to be accessible to all ages and “inexpensive”. The town hall of Toulouse specifies that walking “also makes it possible to fight against a sedentary lifestyle, overweight, and to improve or preserve balance”. “Good for the heart, it is also essential to create social ties, to everyone’s good health”, explains the municipality. With this in mind, the city has more than 300 sports facilities on its territory. Their objective: to provide residents with access to a wide range of free or prohibited sports.

- for retired seniors over 60: €2.50 ;
- active over 60s: 4 € ;
- and non-Toulouse seniors: €5.50.
