It must be said that the management did not really have a choice. His first approach had been categorically rejected, Caqueret being completely unconvinced by the 150,000 euros offered in monthly salary.

And for good reason, the amount is more or less half of what the best paid players in the squad receive. The proposal made last fall did not correspond to the status of Caqueret, who has become essential in the Lyon midfield. The newspaper L’Equipe speaks of a quadrupled salary (310,000 euros per month, against 70,000 currently)!
