“Eunice’s memory will live forever in Portugal”, says Cavaco Silva

The funeral ceremonies for actress Eunice Muñoz take place at the Basilica da Estrela, in Lisbon, today and Tuesday, after the funeral at Alto de S. João Cemetery, where the body will be cremated.
The information was given to the Lusa agency by the actress’s son, adding that the wake will take place between 17:00 and 22:30 today and between 10:00 and 15:00 on Tuesday.
Between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm tomorrow, a mass will be celebrated in the Basilica da Estrela, with the cremation ceremony in the cemetery scheduled for 5:00 pm, said António Muñoz.
Born in Amareleja, in the district of Beja, in 1928, she completed 80 years of career in November.
Several personalities, from culture to politics, rebelling against the death of the actress, including the Government, which, through the Ministry of Culture, announced that it will declare national mourning on the day of the actress’s funeral.
