Montenegro – Greece 33-25: He fought but the National did not succeed
The beautiful journey of the Men’s National Team to the 2023 World Championship stopped in Podgorica.
Our National team has come a long way and at the same time as no other team in the last 18 years in getting a qualification in the final phase of a great organization.
In her impressive run, she won 9 of her 10 games and lost only the last one, 33-25 from Montenegro to the over 6,000 Sports Center Moraca crowd.
Our representative team was the underdog against Bosnia, but also against Montenegro, but the meetings constantly exceeded, culminating in the great victory in Chalkida with 25-23 in the first game of the two teams.
Throughout the route, the Greek team had many problems of absences and these continued today, since in the already serious absence of central defender Petros Kandylas, was added that of Vangelis Arambatzis, who felt discomfort in the Achilles tendon in the warm-up and could not did not play at all, unexpectedly changing the plans of the technical staff.
The National team made a huge effort for us and we are all proud of the way it played and the joys it gave us all this time!
