Forced to wear the mask, the ultras of Olimpia Milan will not return to the Forum for the quarter-finals of Euroleague
Ultras Milano have decided to leave the Forum again due to health restrictions and lack of support for them. The atmosphere in Milan is threatened for the quarter-finals of the Euroleague playoffs.
As long as there is an obligation to wear masks indoors, Olympia Milan ultras will not set foot in the Mediolanum Forum for their team’s home games. The Italian formation of Ettore Messina, already disturbed by the injuries of Tommaso Baldasso and Ben Bentil and the cases of Covid, will have to do without his kop for the first two legs of the quarter-finals of the playoffs against the reigning European champions, Anadolu Efes.
The press release from Ultras Milano:
“After Sassari and Bologna in an absolutely extended atmosphere where we had returned to support our team without any restrictions, we expected a welcome with open arms in our house and… instead, we are handed over to the police to pursue the Ultras Milano and only Ultras Milano. Even the Olimpia company has turned out to be a victim of the intolerance of those who continue to want to strengthen themselves with laws that have become ridiculous with the conclusion of the emergency health agreement and are now considered obsolete in all other stadiums and venues. leisure where common sense prevails.
Supporting with the mask is not an option for those who are in the corners and for these reasons we will continue to follow the Olimpia. When the conditions have changed and the obligation to wear a mask will have disappeared, we will come back to the Forum. We regret not being able to be alongside the team in an important moment like the quarter-finals of the Euroleague but as we have already said, our rights and our values before any match. See you at the Forum in May… maybe! »
