The councilor for the State Property Roberta Frisoni met the representatives of the categories of bathing operators this morning to discuss the new ordinance in force for the bathing season which is now upon us. A device that will follow that of last year, both in terms of services to bathers, and in terms of the distance between the umbrellas. Despite the recent decision by the Emilia Romagna Region of overcoming the extraordinary measures available to the pandemic, this summer will present itself as beaches able to offer the widest spaces to people, confirming the parameters of the last season: the ordinance sets the minimum guarantee shading limit for the northern area of ​​Rimini at 18 square meters, and for the southern Rimini area the minimum surface will be 15 square meters. Also confirmed specific derogation for the stretch between establishments 99 and 130, characterized by a more square strip of beach and a high incidence of hotels and therefore of tourists, where the shading area is set at 12 squares. The ordinance also re-proposes the innovations already tried and tested in recent seasons, aimed at enhancing the services in favor of bathers to experience the beach to its full potential, with environmental attention to sustainability and enhancement. First of all, the extension of the opening hours of the bathing establishments has been confirmed, with the concessionaires that from 28 May to 11 September will guarantee the permanence of customers and the use of the services until at least 22. An opportunity that was introduced in the first summer season in times of pandemic in order to offer greater possibilities to experience outdoor spaces. For the same purpose, to increase the safety of bathing establishments and the possibility of beaches, concessionaires can use lighting systems, with the lights that remain on from sunset at all times set for public lighting. With a view to favoring the expansion of services, the possibility of delivery on the beach for public establishments, restaurants, craft workshops, which can then deliver food to order directly on the beach, is also confirmed. Service that must be carried out without resorting to the use of disposable plastic: for years Rimini has chosen to offer itself as a ‘plastic free’ beach, banning the sale and distribution of drinks in glasses and with disposable plastic straws. Instead, you can use paper cups and disposable compostable material or plastic material that is dishwasher safe and reusable. Furthermore, for the fourth consecutive season, in respect of a sustainable beach that favors the well-being of those who frequent it, smoking will be forbidden on the shoreline. As usual, access to the beach will be prohibited from 1 to 5. The rescue service will be operational from 9.30 to 18.30, with the possibility of interruption between 13 and 14, indicated by the red flag. . “We shared with the operators to re-propose the same operating methods of the past season, which allowed us to offer the Rimini residents and tourists who have frequented our beaches a high quality and increasingly complete service – underlines the councilor at the State Property Roberta Frisoni – Despite the climate of international uncertainty, we present ourselves at the start of this bathing season with optimism, strengthened by the great work done together with the categories even in these difficult two years of pandemic. Precisely in the perspective of a continuous improvement, in the weeks that take place there is the will to undertake a path of confrontation with the Municipalities of our province, the categories, the trade unions per se there are the possibilities of strengthening the rescue service in a optics of lengthening of the bathing season, as a further added value of our offer.
