Time is running out of senses, and the Prague of the eighties, to which the young Iveta Bartošová also came for happiness, has changed beyond recognition. Take a look with us at the pictures from the then Czechoslovak capital and try to guess the places where they were taken.
No tourists or new plaster
Prague in the 1980s was dominated by discos, brutalist-style buildings and, of course, the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, which had experienced its last decade. As you can see, the city didn’t have much of a head with cracked plaster at the time. The mother of cities seemed much smarter at the time, but in a way it also intensified her charm.

In the then closed republic, not as many tourists flocked through Prague as today. The center was crowded with a maximum of Praguers, who after work went on a single tap, hurried to the ROH meeting or for the last tickets to Bartošová in Lucerna.

Life was just a little slower. Some shots from the historic center thus look more like photos from some Sunday village morning, where he literally wanted a dog.
