this start-up from Toulouse which continues to grow
The ambition of Micropep ? Help workers in the agricultural world to protect their crops from pathogens, diseases or even resistant weeds while putting the preservation and respect the environment. All this is possible thanks to micropeptides, abilities capable of adjusting the natural abilities of plants and of composing an effective alternative against petrochemicals, without intervening in their DNA. Thus, Micropep has been working since 2016 to establish a unique, non-GMO and non-invasive solution. The treatment based on micropeptides acts directly on the plants, without the need for internal intervention in the plants.
She was based at the CNRS of Paul-Sabatier University in Toulouse
After 5 years spent in the CNRS of Paul-Sabatier University in Toulouse, the Toulouse-based ecological start-up is preparing to move to the suburbs. These new premises, larger and located at Auzeville-Tolosane, allowing the company to gain research space but above all to gain autonomy. Indeed, this gain in surface area, necessary to the growth of the start-up, will notably allow the installation of greenhouses, useful for experimentation.

Aith this installation, we are continuing the expansion of Micropep and gaining independence. Our new premises bring together the ideal conditions both by their location at the heart of the region’s agro activity, and their proximity to the infrastructures necessary for our industrial development, but also by the space saved for the deployment of our Research labs. and Development”, says Thomas Laurent, founder and president of MicroPep.
