“The State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation is the representative and legislative body of power in the Russian Federation, from the chamber of parliament.
According to the RKN, Google “adheres to a pronounced anti-Russian position in the armed war unleashed by the West against our country.”
“Video hosting is a public key platform in the dissemination of fakes, about discrimination against the Russian side of information,” the statement says.
Earlier, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin called the blocking of the Duma.TV channel on YouTube a violation of the rights of Russian citizens in Washington to information.
“This is another proof of the participation of the rights and freedoms of citizens by Washington. The US authorities, at the expense of American IT companies that own large enterprises, are waging an information war against our country,” Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel on Saturday.
According to Volodin, the United States gets a monopoly on the promotion of information.
“We cannot allow this,” said the speaker of the Duma.
On Saturday, the telegram channel “Duma TV” talked about blocking the channel on YouTube. According to the notice provided, Google has permanently suspended the account in accordance with the company’s proposal regarding the application of risks and restrictions. According to the report, at the time of blocking, the channel had 145 thousand subscribers, and also collected more than 100 million views.
