The largest solar power plant in Slovenia was opened near Hrastnik
HRASTNIK – The state electricity company HSE has launched a 3,036 megawatt solar power plant in the rehabilitated and closed part of the Prapretno landfill near Hrastnik. The largest facility of its kind in the country, worth 2.5 million euros, is expected to supply electricity to about 800 households. A total of 6,748 photovoltaic modules installed at the former degraded site will produce more than 3 GWh of electricity a year, and the plan is to expand to a total installed capacity of 14 megawatts.
Railway operator SŽ acquires a 50% stake in the Nomago Group
LJUBLJANA – The state railway company Slovenske Železnice (SŽ) and the Nomago bus group signed an agreement under which SŽ acquired a 50% stake in Nomago with the option of buying the entire stake by the end of 2024. SŽ will pay EUR 15.75 million as a fixed part. purchase price, and the rest depends on Nomaga’s operations in the coming years. The deal still needs the approval of the competition regulator.
Border municipalities will receive 5 million euros due to migratory pressure

The Supreme Court prohibits the disclosure of personal data of tax evaders

Clug’s reinvention of the first ballet will return to the Slovenian stage in a decade. The dancer and choreographer of Romanian descent, whose productions were sold out by the Bolshoi Theater and the Colosseum in London, finds two ballet works from the past, which nevertheless have an avant-garde character.
The Rog Creative Center will open next year
LJUBLJANA – The new creative center, which is emerging from the failed Rog bicycle factory in Ljubljana, will open its doors in the summer of 2023. The Rog Center will promote cultural and creative activities, especially product making, applied arts, architecture and design. The center will have seven production laboratories, 25 production premises, five residential premises, a space for socializing and an exhibition, a library and cafes. There will also be two smaller shops selling lab products.
