Legoland, charging queue and Legolas – Norwegian electric car association
There is a lovely country. At least occasionally. We love Denmark.
This is the third travel letter from our team on a charging trip in Scandinavia. The first two can be found here: Day 1 * Day 2
What is it with Copenhagen?
You already know this when you cross the bridge – Copenhagen is waiting for you. And have been waiting since the last time you left town.
Some Norwegians never move out of Nyhavn or Strøget, just as far as Runde Tårn, or possibly on a tourist trip to The Little Mermaid.
Others should always enjoy more of the city, which many for one reason or another believe is the King’s city. In a country that has the longest-serving chain-smoking female monarch in the world.
But then, Copenhagen is also for those who rent a bike and go to new places.
Who have favorite cafes or still get new ones.
Or who trawls Frederiksberg or Nørrebro in search of new experiences. For them, it will be in Copenhagen, will be a recurring journey of discovery.
Strolling around the streets of Copenhagen in the morning is a journey of discovery in how a city can build cycling culture.
Straight in the back, and with a good deal of watts in the step, Copenhageners flock to work – by bike.
While we are well charged.

Easier shipping on the go with the Charging Club
Loaded with bacon and coffee
We were just walking from the cool boutique hotel that Erik could control his enthusiasm for, because the bacon was hidden under a ceramic hat.
But it straightened up a bit as the coffee was indescribably good. And we had found parking garage with barn just a few hundred meters away from the hotel.
It is indescribably wonderful to wake up and know that you have a fully charged electric car to start the day with. Try for yourself.
The joy of seeing Copenhagen again did not last long. While they are cycling, we have to drive an electric car on.
Our cameraman Jamiseon was finally to show up at a nearby airport. After significant efforts with layer A, with the Swiss Alps and Italy’s response to Lake Mjøsa, we will go with Jamieson through Denmark.
Kastrup also has some fast chargers for the car that need a year.
Thanks, but no thanks today, that is.
Funen – a bit of a sight
Heavy rain, snow and the Great Belt are the recipe for a memorable trip to Funen.
The weather is probably only ruled by the weather gods. And the gods must know that we are not completely on good terms with them.
We write April and experience torrential rain, then sleet and finally proper snow showers, while Danish farmers along the road clench their fists and look up.
Should we charge? Yes, but we just have to drive across the Little Belt. The bridge that takes us over to Jutland.
As we have to burn a little watts to get the car ready for as much charging as possible, we take the detour on the old Little Belt. We also need to be a bit of tourists.
Then we arrive at Denmark’s prettiest charging station with 11 percent on the can.
Fredricia has thus got lightning charging places built in glulam with a roof. And design is appreciated by Danes.
Here, our first charging queue arose on the trip while the Ionity chargers without a roof stood unused 200 meters away. Note to self: Bygg takes over the charging stations!
Play – play – play with lego
The goal is without a doubt what is also the goal of most families with children for the Danish holiday: Legoland.
Erik is the elf from Legoland, also called Legolas. But he can not use the magic to conjure up so many charging posts here.
Four chargers, some of which do not work. It can create a whole new dynamic in the parking lot at Legoland this summer if people come with empty batteries.
Fortunately, there are charging stations nearby, but not quite on capacity when the season starts in full.
Rather spend all your energy on experiences in the park. We had planned extremely well and came to closed doors. So remember to check opening hours before you take the whole family with you …
An aquavit before midnight?
Aalborg is the city with aquavit. And a hotel on the seafront. Without the possibility of shipping an electric car.
But, you world, right nearby, Erik finds the adventurous Legolas’ six chargers in a parking garage. Norwegian Zaptec chargers.
Of course, our charging chip works.
– The chip takes the charging stress away from an average person, Erik could say.
He did not, just plugged in the charger.
Before fish and chips and a small beer. For aquavit they did not have.
