HANDBALL: JDA Dijon – Nice this Saturday April 9

Sugar Mizzy April 9, 2022

A paying match for the 21st day of the Butagaz Energie League. The meeting is broadcast on MyTVChain.

This weekend, the 21st day of the Butagaz Energy League will offer 7 matches which will be decisive for the classification, with only 6 days left before the end of the season and the finals between the first two. Saturday’s big event will take place at the Palais des Sports in Toulon, with an exceptional handball evening broadcast on beIN SPORTS 3 with the Toulon / Paris women’s poster followed by the Saint Raphaël / Montpellier men’s match. Two other matches will be broadcast on this episode, with Bourg de Péage / Celles sur Belle on Mistral TV, and Dijon / Nice on MyTVChain.

Program of the 21st day:

– Saturday April 9 at 5.45 p.m.: Toulon / Paris live on beIN SPORTS 3 from 5.30 p.m.
– Saturday April 9 at 8 p.m.: Bourg de Péage / Celles-sur-Belle live on Mistral TV
– Saturday April 9 at 8 p.m.: Dijon / Nice live on MyTVChain
– Saturday April 9 at 8 p.m.: Chambray / Brest
– Saturday April 9 at 8 p.m.: Nantes / Mérignac
– Sunday April 10 at 3 p.m.: Fleury / Besançon
– Sunday April 10 at 3 p.m.: Celles-sur-Belle / Metz

It is therefore a real gala day that will be offered to spectators and television viewers this Saturday, April 9 at the Palais des Sports in Toulon with a 100% handball event that will bring together the elite of women’s and men’s handball in the same arena. The Var clubs of Toulon Métropole Var Handball (LFH) and Saint-Raphaël Var Handball (LNH) have taken the great initiative of joining forces to organize this meeting which will be punctuated by two very high level matches, broadcast in live on beIN SPORTS 3. The poster of the Butagaz Énergie League between Toulon Métropole Var HB and Paris 92 will open the ball from 5:45 p.m. (airtime at 5:30 p.m.), and that of the Liqui Moly Starligue between Saint Raphaël Var HB and Montpellier HB (8:15 p.m.) will close this beautiful day. To date, more than 2000 people have been sold.

Stéphane PLANTIN, coach of Toulon:

“It’s a real event, and it has an exceptional side in the sense that it is rare for women’s and men’s professional handball to be brought together on the same day. In addition, the Palais des Sports will host four quality teams, with beautiful posters in perspective in a quality infrastructure to host this meeting. With this difficult period linked to COVID, we are suffering a little this season to bring people to this room, and this is a great opportunity to achieve this, by proving that the handball public exists in the Var and by remobilizing them. This evening is also important because we have a sport that reveals itself to others, in particular through the awards that our French teams have been able to build during our long history. And then beyond titles, there are common values that are shared and defended, both by partners, institutions, etc. Handball has things to promote in our society, and these are very important things that we can carry through this type of event. I am also very happy that beIN SPORTS is broadcasting the two matches on Saturday. It’s a positive signal, and I think it’s very good that the Federation, the LFH and the NHL have rallied around this event. We show that we are dynamic, ambitious and that we want to advance our sport together. »

Emeric PAILLASSON, general manager of Saint Raphaël Var Handball:

“We are lucky to have a sport that performs at the highest level in women’s and men’s, as we saw last summer at the Tokyo Olympics. And we have two high-level clubs in the Var and this event also has the challenge of showing that we are able to bring girls and boys together. There is a real proximity with the Toulon club, and we want to introduce the St Raphaël club to the Toulon conurbation. Create a great event to attract them to the Palais des Sports in Toulon, with two great high-level meetings. The challenge behind this is to secure their loyalty so that they come back to our cinemas. In addition, gender equality is a topic that drives our society today, and sport must be an example. Even if we have to remain lucid, and that there are still differences between athletes and professional athletes in handball, I am convinced that this type of event can make it possible to move things in the right direction. We are here to organize a great handball party together, with the desire to showcase our discipline. beIN SPORTS will broadcast the two matches live, and it’s a good signal, it shows that this event makes sense. We are pooling our forces for this operation, and we also want to show the local authorities that we are capable of uniting. I really hope it will be a nice party and that we will have people in this beautiful room. »

Nodjialem MYARO, President of the Women’s Handball League:

“It is a very good initiative for the two Var professional clubs of Toulon and Saint-Raphaël to offer this double meeting for the public and that the NHL and the LFH are associated. The LFH is delighted that beIN SPORTS is broadcasting the entirety of this exceptional evening of handball on its antennas and thanks the channel for this great exposure it offers to viewers. »

Bruno MARTINI, President of the National Handball League:

“I am delighted with this exceptional double event for the public, the teams and for beIN SPORTS viewers. It is the result of a great collaboration between the clubs of Toulon and Saint-Raphaël and a new demonstration of the very good understanding between the NHL and the LFH and between the various players in the hand pro. »
