War in Ukraine – Kyiv is preparing to nationalize all Russian property
On March 3, the Verkhovna Rada passed a national law approving the organization.

The government is working to adopt documentation to begin the process of nationalizing Russian property in Ukraine.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Schmigaler on a national telethon.
“There are a number of businesses in Ukraine that belong to Russia. The mechanisms prescribed by law have now been approved illegally. We have already started all these processes. Of course, we will nationalize all Russian property to compensate for some of the losses that Russia gives us.” , – made by Shmygal.
Asked whether a court decision would be needed to nationalize Russian property, the prime minister said:
“In wartime, I think we will already act under the new law and nationalize this property in wartime.”
As reported by UNIAN 3, in March the Verkhovna Rada passed a law defining the procedure for nationalization of Ukraine’s assets belonging to Russia.
On March 10, it was signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. The law is the legal basis for the forcible seizure of property of a state that has launched a full-scale war against Ukraine.
