The Republic will organize several free Moldova flights for Ukrainian refugees. The Chisinau authorities, together with their European partners, will make planes available to European Union countries as requests arise. They can be defended on the dopomoga.gov.md website.
DANIELLA MISAIL-NICHITIN, Secretary of State, Ministry of the Interior: “Several EU countries have expressed their opening of a first refugee camp in Ukraine, including Lithuania, Austria, Germany, Latvia, France, Italy and Spain. Once there in the above European countries, the temporary protection mechanism is activated, this mechanism offers the possibility of being legal for a period of 12 months ”.
Free flights are part of the refugee transfer program implemented by the Ministry of Interior, in partnership with the European Commission. As of February 24, 780 refugees have been transferred by air from Ukraine to countries such as Latvia, Austria and Germany.
