The first free flight for refugees is already scheduled for April 11 to Germany. Registrations are made on the site http://dopomoga.gov.md, filling in a form that will be automatically sent to the Migration and Asylum Office. Applicants will be contacted and notified of the day and time of the flight. Registration is also possible by calling the number – 0 800 0 15 27 or by direct request at the MoldExpo information point. The waiting period is from one to three working days.

DANIELLA MISAIL-NICHITIN, Secretary of State, Ministry of the Interior: “Several EU countries have expressed their opening of a first refugee camp in Ukraine, including Lithuania, Austria, Germany, Latvia, France, Italy and Spain. Once there in the above European countries, the temporary protection mechanism is activated, this mechanism offers the possibility of being legal for a period of 12 months ”.

Free flights are part of the refugee transfer program implemented by the Ministry of Interior, in partnership with the European Commission. As of February 24, 780 refugees have been transferred by air from Ukraine to countries such as Latvia, Austria and Germany.
