MPK was started in 1976 and offers masonry, plastering and construction focused on historic buildings such as churches and castles. The company’s largest customer is Swedish Church, for which several church renovations have been carried out in recent years. MPK has 15 full-time employees and for the financial year 2021, revenues amounted to SEK 24.9 million.
The acquisition is made through Fasadgruppen’s existing subsidiary Allt i Murning, which, like MPK, has many references from various historical construction projects.
Mats Karlssonbusiness area manager Fasadgruppen Syd, said: “MPK is another strong addition to Fasadgruppen’s operations in the south Sweden, where we previously lacked a presence in Kristianstad. The company has solid expertise in preserving historic buildings for the future and has built up a stable portfolio of repeat customers. “
Ronny Jönsson, CEO of MPK, said: “It feels exciting to be involved The facade group and we look forward to sharing best practices and finding new growth opportunities with the other companies in the group. ”
The facade group uses existing cash and cash equivalents to finance the acquisition. The seller has undertaken to reinvest part of the purchase price by acquiring existing shares in The facade group within the next three months for an amount equivalent SEK 2.5 million. The shares purchased during the reinvestment are subject to a lock-up commitment for 36 months. The completion of the acquisition is not subject to any conditions and MPK will therefore immediately become part of it The facade group.
