“Salzburg Success Stories”: Premiere for new WKS event series
Salzburg (Austria) Salzburg is a great success story in many respects: “Our state is also one of the most successful regions in Europe from an economic point of view. Above all, the many entrepreneurs with their very own success stories contribute to this”, Special WKS President KommR Peter Buchmüller the motivation for a new series of events.
“I am very happy to welcome you again personally and to see a full hall with 200 guests who are our invitation to see what does us all good again: to celebrate and be honored.” With these words, WKS President KommR Peter Buchmüller opened yesterday’s kick-off event of the series “Salzburg Success Stories. “We have you to thank for creating a top business location in Salzburg. There are more than 40,000 companies that are active in Salzburg and ensure prosperity and employment and enable everything that makes a prosperous region possible,” emphasized Buchmüller. This is not possible without diligence and without risk, without an incredible commitment that the jubilarians have given in all these years. “As a company, you have also suffered setbacks over the years that mark your anniversary, but you have always managed to move forward and develop your company further,” stressed Buchmüller. “I thank you and congratulate you from the bottom of my heart.”
Impressive paths to success
About 80 companies from all parts of the Flachgau were brought onto the stage last night. WKS President KommR Peter Buchmüller and the Flachgau district office chairman, Martin Kaswurm, personally presented the awards and presented the certificates.
Michaela Hilber, owner of the family business Hilber-Beschläge from Salzburg-Viehhausen, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, was also honored. Together with Siegfried Fink, Managing Director of Sonnenmoor, which can already look back on 50 years of success, they gave an impressive insight into their company history in conversation with moderator Marina Herzmayer, and certainly spoke to the soul of many entrepreneurs.
75 years of Hilber fittings
“It was always clear to me to take over the business because I grew up in production, which was also my playground,” Hilber reports. She does not share the opinion that as a woman in a male-dominated industry she has a difficult role to play. “On the contrary, I feel very comfortable here,” remarked Hilber and thanked her team, which ultimately accounts for the success and ensures the continued existence of the company.
Siegfried Fink, Managing Director of Sonnenmoor, also gave a brief account of the history of his company: “The fact that my father’s illness laid the foundation for the company’s path to success is not gratifying, but it shows the effectiveness of our natural remedies based on moor and herbs”, reports Fink. “The products that my father developed are still on the market today. These are a key factor in our recipe for success,” explains Fink. “The second factor is my enthusiasm and joy with which I run my company and also master the difficulties that you have as an entrepreneur.”
After the official part, the WKS invited to a personal exchange at the buffet. The Moser Trio from Seekirchen provides the festive and musical framework for the evening with classical music and tango rhythms, led in a charming way by the moderator Marina Herzmayer.
