Russia suggests restrictions on flights to more than 50 countries
According to the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus, we are talking about lifting restrictions on periodic and charter flights with Algeria, Argentina, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Brazil, Venezuela, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Israel, India , Indonesia, Jordan, Iraq, Kenya, China, North Korea, Costa Rica, Kuwait, Lebanon, Lesotho, Mauritius, Madagascar, Malaysia, Maldives, Morocco, Mozambique, Moldova, Mongolia, Myanmar, Namibia, Oman, Comfort, Peru, Saudi Arabia Arabia, Seychelles, Serbia, Syria, Thailand, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, Uruguay, Fiji, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, South Africa and Jamaica.
Flights to these countries will now be limited only by the provisions of intergovernmental agreements on air aviation and selected agreements by the aviation authorities of the countries.
At the same time, some countries (for example, China, Israel, Turkey, Serbia and others) have already been officially implemented for flights, but the number of flights was limited by quotas (for example, no more than two weeks between capitals). Air communication with other countries opens in two years.
At the moment, not a single Russian airline has announced its intention to launch flights to countries, with the expectation that air traffic is just opening.
The opening of international flights is currently also difficult against the backdrop of a sharp decrease in the frequency of flights in the EU and the USA: air travel in the Russian Federation has reduced a significant frequency of air travel due to the risk of air travel at airports.
In early March, the Federal Air Transport Agency announced restrictions on non-scheduled and scheduled flights in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Iran on a reciprocal basis.
At the moment, restrictions on flights to Belarus, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Finland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, South Korea and Cuba have also been completely lifted.
