Voting times and conditions for the 2022 presidential election

As a reminder, in Marseille as in all major cities, polling stations open at 8 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.

Contrary to what one might think, the voter’s card is not compulsory to vote. To participate, you just need to be registered on the electoral lists and to be a qualified voter. Or, having French nationality, be of legal age and enjoy their civil and political rights.

Voter by proxy

If you know that you will not be able to go to the polling station of the municipality in which you are registered on Sunday, you can vote by proxy. Here is a comment.

The process can take a little time, it is advisable to undertake it as soon as possible.
