The Minister of the Presidency, Mariana Vieira da Silva, defended this Friday that the program presented is the same that the Portuguese vote in the January laws. She also considered that the opposition’s “bad omens” about the policies followed had failed and that they will work as a growth trajectory.

“[O Programa do Governo é] a project for four and a half years of intense work, focused on the recovery of the country, responds to the needs of families and companies, to achieve more prosperity, justice and equality”, said the minister, at the end of the debate on the Government Program, in justice and equality Assembly of the Republic.

According to the minister, the Government Program “continues the path of growth and development”, in “convergence with the European Union”, and this was “the path of progress, with an eye on the future, that the Portuguese chose for Portugal”, by giving an absolute majority to the PS.

Mariana Vieira da Silva da Silva who, during the two days of debate on the Government Program in Parliament, saw “the same type of suspicious jobs that were made in 2015-2019”, which “as planning policies would destroy and penalize growth” . “They failed in the past and will fail today,” she assured.

“The predictions and bad omens that the positions were presented here, being, year after year, by the votes denied by the Portuguese. (…) Each time the Portuguese were called to the polls, they gave more strength to the path we were coming. walking,” he added.

It was also highlighted that, despite the pandemic, employment levels are “at historic highs” and that the country will converge with the European Union between 2016 and 2019 and “resume this as early as 2022”. In addition, the first monthly rose 40% since 2015, the monthly average rose 23% and the positive profit “was the positive profit of democracy”, he said.
