Coronavirus in Prague: 6403 cases per week, epidemic slowed
In the last week, there were an average of 180 people in Prague hospitals with covid-19, about ten of whom were in intensive care units. The number of hospitalized patients has fallen in the past seven days, a week earlier the number of patients with covid in hospitals did not fall even below 200. According to the Ministry of Health.
The covid-19 epidemic in Prague has slowed again in the last week. There have been 6403 confirmed cases in the past seven days, 7627 a week earlier. The incidence number also decreased. In the last week, there are 480 infected per 100,000 inhabitants in the capital, which is 91 lower than last Friday. In Prague, where about 1.3 million people live, almost half a million people have been infected since the beginning of the epidemic in March last year.
Prague hospitals have been caring for the epidemic for more than two years about more than 20,700 patients with covid-19, of which about 5,250 there were intensive care units. The busiest hospitals in the capital were in the second half of March last year, when they suddenly became more than a thousand infected.
3542 people have died of the disease in the capital so far, and there have been 15 victims in the last seven days. This is an increase of three deaths in a week-on-week comparison. However, data from recent days may change during further updates.
Vaccination
Vaccine-19 vaccines in the metropolis have come out since December 2020, when vaccination began, more than 3.2 million. About 1.2 million people received two benefits, and a third booster dose was given to about 710,000 people. In the last seven days, they have given about 3,900 doses, which is about a thousand less than a week earlier.
