If the streets of Caen quickly regained their usual appearance thanks to the mobilization of municipal teams, at the Parc des Expositions, it was not until the end of the DJ Ofenbach concert, Thursday April 7 around 11 p.m., to start cleaning.
The next morning, operations continue. “Us, when we arrive at 5 a.m., it’s the construction site“, smiles a cleaner, come to take over from his colleagues.
In total, 10 tons of waste were collected, 3 tons less than the previous edition, in 2019.
For the 700 rescue personnel mobilized, the night was also busy. This Friday, April 8, the prefecture of Calvados communicated the exact results of the operations.
249 people were taken care of by the emergency services, mainly victims of excessive alcoholism and, for some, minor injuries linked to falls. 35 of these victims were degraded to health establishments in Caen.
