The Traffic Department of Thessaloniki announces that, on Sunday (10-04-2022) due to the 16th International Marathon Road “ALEXANDER THE GREAT” as well as the Health and Dynamic Walking Roads 5 and 10 km, regulations that will be applied: the following

PROHIBITION OF VEHICLE PARKING


From 22.00 on Saturday (09-04-2022) and until the end of the sports events during the noon hours of Sunday (10-04-2022), it is not allowed to stop vehicles on the following streets:

– Ε.Ο. Thessaloniki – Edessa, from the borders of the Prefecture of Pella to

Chalkidona, along the entire width of the road, from Chalkidona to

city ​​of Thessaloniki, only on the way to Thessaloniki.

– K. Karamanlis Avenue in Ionia, only on the way to

Thessaloniki.

– Nea Monastiriou (Municipalities of Delta – Kordelio-Evosmos), only downstream

walk to Republic Square.

– Monastiriou until its junction with Giannitson Street, only downstream

walk to Republic Square.

– Giannitson, from its junction with Monastiriou Street to the junction

with Daphnis Street and along its entire width.

– Daphnis, from its junction with Giannitson Street to its junction with

the New Western Entrance and its entire width.

– New Western Entrance, from its junction with Dafnis Street to the street

Old Station and only in the current flowing east.

– Old Station, from the New Western Entrance until its contribution with

Dendropotamou up to Agamemnonos Street.

– Agamemnon (Municipality of Kordelio – Evosmos), from Th. Hatzikou Street to

Monastiriou Street.

– Karatasou

– Vas. Georgiou Avenue, from its junction with Str. Napoleon

The current ban on stopping and parking vehicles on Tsimiski Street and Nikis Avenue is reminded.

Dendropotamou up to Agamemnonos Street, during the hours 08.30΄- 11.00΄)

– Agamemnon (Municipality of Kordelio – Evosmos, from Th. Hatzikou Street to

Monastiriou street, during the hours 08.30΄- 11.00΄)

– Vas. Georgiou Avenue (from its junction with Str. Napoleontos Street

Zerva until its contribution with GD Septemvriou Street, at 08.30΄-

14.30΄)

– Man. Andronikou (during the hours 10.30΄- 14.30΄)

– Tsimiski (during the hours 10.30΄- 14.30΄)

– Polytechnic (during the hours 10.30΄- 14.30΄)

Restrictions on the movement and stopping of vehicles will be applied gradually and depending on the point of movement of the runners.

Drivers are kindly requested to remove their vehicles from the routes of the runners, to comply with the instructions of the runners that will cover the entire route and to choose the alternative routes in order to avoid the creation of traffic jams.
