Two very attractive games could be followed in the 15th round of the 2nd class middle. The catch-up race SPG Innsbruck West II in Kundl was not rewarded – in the end a 2:3 defeat. He also had to fight hard IAK II to beat FC Koch Türe Natters II 3:1.
Catching up from Innsbruck West II in Kundl is not rewarded in the end!
Marco Tomasi, Coach SPG Innsbruck West II: “My team shows great morale and comes back after a 0:2 deficit. With a bit of luck we could have taken the lead just before the end. But they lost unhappily in the 93rd minute through Belmin Majetic because the final score was 2:3. In my opinion it was a good game by both teams in difficult pitch conditions and a draw would have been fair, but unfortunately football is often cruel. I’m still satisfied with my team’s performance and I’m convinced that we’ll get full points again in the next home game. Congratulations to Kundl on the threesome!”
Strong game between IAC II and Natters II
Erol Erdem, Coach Innsbruck AC II: “Today we received Natters 1b at Askö in Reichenau. The early stages were a bit uncoordinated, the longer the game went the more my boys got involved. At half time we went into the dressing room with a 2:1, but we knew that the Natterers wouldn’t give up and that it would be really difficult again. That’s exactly how it happened. Natters came into play better and better in the early stages of the second half. A wonderful parade by our goalie prevented the equalizer, from that point on it was an open exchange of blows with beautiful scenes on both sides. A wonderful, late counterattack led to the second goal from Paul Klaus to make it 3:1 in the final phase. Fabio Mair scored our first goal. A very nice, fair and, in the end, I think, well-deserved game.”
