De Vrij, these are very hot days: the cause won, the return to Verona and the plans for Inter that are changing | First page
A month has passed since Stefan De Vrij’s last appearance on the pitch with the shirt of Inter. 45 important minutes in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 won unnecessarily against Liverpool, then the stop, with the soleus distraction of the left leg which forced him to skip the matches against Turin, Fiorentina and also Juventus (in which he was in any case returned to the squad). In the middle one of the most delicate moments of his career off the pitch and that lawsuit against his old agents which, probably, affected the performance of what, probably, and today his worst season since being in Italy. However, something has changed and even looking at his future, unexpected glimmers are opening up for him up to 30 days ago.
THE WINNING CAUSE – Just the lawsuit won against his old agency of prosecutors, the SEG, which as established by the Court of Amsterdam cheated the player at the time of his arrival at Inter (and will have to compensate him for 4.7 million euros READ HERE) was a distracting topic this year. This was confirmed today by his lawyer who, speaking of the legal process, underlined how: “Stefan has just come out of a bad nightmare: this is not the time to think about anything else” (READ HERE whole interview).
THINKING ABOUT THE SCUDETTO – The legal nightmare is therefore over, but aEven the physical ordeal is now behind him and 30 days later De Vrij will find a starting shirt with Verona. In the first leg he was one of the most positive, in one of the few races in which he managed to maintain the high standards he had last year with Conte on the bench and which led to the Scudetto. Own raise the title again is today the only thought the Dutchman is trying to: “Now I will focus on the battle for the Scudetto with Inter” stated in the Netherlands (READ HERE) commenting on the sentence.
INTER PLANS – The month of April will be decisive for the Nerazzurri’s scudetto fight for Simone Inzaghi against Napoli and Milan, but also for De Vrij the Primavera can hold important surprises. Until now, as an untouchable, it had in fact been put on the market by the company which, with a contract expiring on June 30, 2023, had begun to evaluate the option of a goodbye. As we told you (READ HERE), however, soon there will be an on-site meeting with the player’s agent, Mino Raiola. Inter, aware of the absence of big offers for him, will listen to the player’s requests which, if not excessive, could also be satisfied. His farewell, therefore, is not so expected and even through the De Vrij field he will be able to change his future. The nightmares are behind us and the future is getting very hot.
