Russia hopes that the EU will abandon the subject of the blockade of Kaliningrad – Grushko

Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Grushko reinforced the hope that common sense in Europe would not allow the desert to be easily used in a dangerous game around with a possible blockade of the situation in the Kaliningrad region of Poland and the Baltic states.

Earlier, the Baltic countries said they were considering closing the borders with Russia and Belarus. And Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Slovenia have already closed the airspace for the subsequent transition. In response, Russia closed its airspace to these countries.
The government of the Kaliningrad region announced the impossibility of an air blockade of the region. Residents of the region can fly through neutral waters and the Leningrad region.
The situation in the world escalated after Vladimir Putin announced on the night of February 24 that he had decided to use special opportunities in the Donbass. At the same time, he stressed that the plans of the powers of the Russian Federation do not include the occupation of the territories of Ukraine. The heads of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik demanded the President of the Russian Federation to help repel aggression from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
