Academics are the first ULLH finalists! The second series returns to Prague
13: 57On Monday, April 4, the second match of the ULLH semifinal series was on the program. The outsideers built swordfish rivals on the ice, but only one of them was used. The first finalists are the Academics of Pilsen, who smashed the Black Dogs at home quite clearly 8: 2. The Olomouc hockey players, on the other hand, failed in the winter in Prostějov, fell 0: 3 and will fight for promotion in Prague on Wednesday, April 6.
Excellent Mašek averted the end of the UK Hockey Prague season
The people of Olomouc welcomed the Prague team in the Prostějov asylum and sought to advance to the finals. The game started more prudently, on both sides. The first big chance appeared only in sixteen minutes, where the home team’s Palička had the leading goal on the hockey stick, but he did not make it to the successful end. Subsequently, Skopal had an excellent position, losing control of the disc and eventually not finishing.
The first blow fell into the cage at the eighteenth minute. The guests had at their disposal an overpowering game, first Jindra hit the stick in it, then after a nice combination Oliver Glitta prevailed. In the second period, the people of Prague increased the pace, and they developed many chances, and it was mostly they who threatened the opponent’s gate. Game dominance bore fruit for them at the end of the second twenty-minute period. Viktor Martínek grinded from the circle into the pre-goal area and fired an elusive shot into the closer gallows.
In the third part, frequent exclusions complicated the home way to score a goal. On the contrary, the players from the capital prevailed after a nice action. Martínek got stuck at the mantinel around Kropáč and shot at Šoustal, but the wheel went in front of him and Oliver Glitta had no problem with scoring.
The Prague team thus reset the shooters from Olomouc and will have a better home environment for the main match.

The academics crushed the Black Dogs in the Pilsen tent
Pilsen brought a 4: 2 win from Budějovice and tried to advance to the last battle for the Jan Palach Cup. The home team had more of the game from the very beginning. This effort was reflected in the score in the sixth minute, Marek Princl took advantage of the barrier in front of the goal. Very quickly the academics increased the diagnosis, Reitspies found Martin Fořt, who sent a bullet with his wrist directly into the dormitory. The guests did not have many chances in the first period, moreover, when one occurred, it was destroyed by a certain Štekr.
The home show continued in the middle. Marek Princl received the disc on the right circle and from there he ended up with his wrist on the back bar. The match started to get quite hot and the referees handed out a lot of penalties. In the match of the half, the West Czechs came up with a great advantage in the numerical advantage, Daniel Malý was at the end of the successful combination. The fifth ice rang in the Plzeň Ice Arena, and Jakub Švec was delighted by the home fans, who did not hesitate against the goalkeeper. However, the guests immediately responded, Jiří Kubeš punished the lax defense of the Academics.
At the beginning of the third twenty-minute period, Jakub Švec reached a successful finish, who increased the goal pad of the home team. Martin Fořt, who knocked in front of the goal, also rejoiced at the goal. Matěj Dvořák, who used the power of the guests, made a name for Black Dogs. The last successful scorer of the duel was Vít Reitspies, who tapped into the exposed part of the goal with a backhand.
The academics thus secured a ticket to the University Ice Hockey League in the finals, but you still have to wait for your opponent.
