Tennis returns to Verona. A stage of the ATP Challenger Tour will take place from 10 to 17 July at the Circolo Tennis Scaligero.

The Verona International Tennis Championships will take place from 10 to 17 July 2022, a competition included in the Challenger-80 Tour ATP players that will attract professionals from 100 to 300 in the world ranking.
The Tennis Internationals will take place under the patronage of the Municipality of Verona and the collaboration of the Scaligero Tennis Club in Viale Cristoforo Colombo, which will host the event on its courts.

To direct the tournament the Croatian tennis player, Veronese by adoption, Viktor Galovic (best ranking ATP nr 172), winner of the Davis Cup 2018 in the national team of Croatia.
Viktor Galovic: «The Challenger-80 is an important tournament that selects young talents willing to conquer the highest positions in the world ranking. There is a strong interest in our city which deserves to remain permanently on the ATP calendar ».
To follow up on the words of Galovic, the winner of the past edition Holger Rune who wanted to send a good omen message: «I hope everything goes well in Verona. It was a great tournament and I had a lot of fun, great fans / supporters. I wish you a super / wonderful tournament this year. My best wishes to all ».

The Tennis Internationals support the Hippocampus Foundation for the care of autistic children.
