Jehovah’s Witness. San Marino, two special events in April so as not to lose hope
“The world is in turmoil,” said António Guterres, UN secretary general. In a period marked by increasing uncertainty about the future, Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world are organizing two important events in April for reasons that can help keep hope. The approximately 200 Jehovah’s Witnesses in the city of the Republic of San Marino also extend the invitation to attend these events to all. The first special event will be a 30-minute conference on the theme “How Can You Have Sure Hope?”. It will take place over the weekend of April 9-10 and will provide concrete reasons for trusting the Bible. The second appointment is the annual Commemoration of the death of Jesus Christ to be held on the evening of April 15, 2022, after sunset, according to the indications given in the Gospels (Luke 22:19). This is the most important event of the year for Jehovah’s Witnesses. Last year over 500,000 people in Italy and over 21 million worldwide participated, an increase of 19.7% compared to 2020. “Many people are surprised to find that the Bible describes a future without suffering and even without death, which will soon become a reality right here on earth, “said Roberto Guidotti spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses for Emilia Romagna and the Marches. “In a period marked by uncertainties and greater fears for the future, these two appointments will consider the valid reasons that exist for having faith in the promise that the Bible gives us of a better future”. For the first time ever, both events will be held in hybrid mode. All the places of worship will in fact be gradually reopened to small groups of attendees, and anyone who wishes to join can also do so via videoconference through the Zoom platform. Admission to events is free and no registration is required. Information for participating locally is available at jw.org.
