Prague 2 helps refugees from Ukraine
The mayor of Prague 2, Alexandra Udenija, Archbishop of Prague Dominik Duka and Ukrainian Ambassador Yevhen Perebyjnis together this morning visited a hostel in Sokolsk Street and went out of support to the mother, grandmother and child from Ukraine, who accommodated the city. As a horseshoe, they prepared a tasting of Ukrainian cooking specialties (potato dads stuffed with cheese and topped with fried onions, salted gourd with sour cream). We reconstructed the hostel with a capacity of 43 drugs at our own expense and equipped it as needed. Families here have fully equipped rooms, including cots, according to the kitchen and common room. Together with the employees of the Arcidieczn Charity Prague, we at our town hall make sure that they do not miss anything. Thanks to this excellent cooperation, we are able to provide these people with social and health care, let’s help with placement children in college facilities and adapt groups, and so with good employment, said Mayor Alexandra Udenija.
Prague 2 has been providing comprehensive humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian families since the very arrest of the conflict:
- It set aside a capacity of 65 drugs in its hostels, which it had reconstructed and equipped at its own expense (from furniture, household goods and to hygiene products and food storage);

- It organized a financial fundraiser to support Ukraine through the talented Dvojka srdcem fund, through which it managed to raise 140 thousand crowns for immediate financial assistance;
- She set aside 1 million crowns from the M budget and sent it to Ukraine through the humanitarian hunting organization in Tni;
- In cooperation with the citizens, she set up a material collection in Balbn Street, where Ukrainian mothers will find clothes for themselves and their children, hygiene items, full beds and live clothes, etc .;
- In cooperation with the foundation and mother wheels, which he sets up, he puts Ukrainian children in the lurch. By the end of this week, a total of about 200 dt will be delivered to the colleges;
- To open the group adaptation, there are 4 adaptation groups at Z and 1 at M. In the following weeks, the opening of the other 2 adaptation groups at Z follows the online tutorial. The total capacity of these groups is 145 cities;
