The fall championship was for the SAAK 1914 not exactly crowned with success. In the 1 round The spring championship gave the Nonntaler, who had started the second part of the season from last in the table, the all-important sense of achievement. Coach Roman Wallner’s kickers were looking for the title contender SV Kuchl a 1:1 draw. Bitter aftertaste: The Tennengauer equalizer came five minutes before the end of the game.

State capitals shocked Kuchl early
The Wallner workforce convinced with a lot of efficiency against the Kuchler, who were rated higher. “We took the lead with the first chance,” the SAK coach experienced a really great start. Eleven minutes were on the clock when the guests lost an important duel in the build-up game, the blue and yellow played their way into the dangerous zone with an excellent one-two and Petrit Nika did what he does quite well, often and likes: the round in Promote square – 1:0. The opening goal gave the townsfolk back the self-confidence they had lost in the fall, but Wallner nevertheless recognized: “It’s also clear that you can’t stop everything against Kuchl.” Meanwhile, the SVK wanted to equalize as soon as possible. Christian Kaindl probably had the best opportunity to do so in the first half – who failed. Christian Seidl, the sporting director of the visiting team, needed a lot of patience: “We were superior in football, but SAK countered very dangerously. When we shot, a defender’s leg or the goalkeeper’s hand kept getting in the way.”
Sharing of points for both camps okay
And even at half-time, the Kuchler ran tirelessly – initially in vain. “The odds were clearly on our side at 10:3. Luckily we equalized just before the end,” said Seidl. The mentioned 1:1 happened in the 85th minute – in a phase in which the Nonntaler had already had legitimate hopes of scoring full points. Moritz Resch, who came on as a substitute twenty minutes earlier, appeared threatening in the last third and flicked the play equipment into the far corner with great feeling. Even though the timing of the goal left a bitter aftertaste, Wallner was full of pride after the end of the game: “The lads kept their heads up and at least got the point through. An important sense of achievement for the lads.” There was also a good mood on the other side – Seidl: “I think we can be quite satisfied with our first spring game.”
