Outings-Leisure | Marseille: the Baou reopens tonight!
Created in 2019 in collaboration with the Jardins Suspendus, Le Baou quickly became one of the essential places in Marseille. With a rooftop offering a view of the autonomous port and the city, and an exceptional program with artists such as Damso, Camille Lellouche, SCH or Cut Killer, Le Baou is a real success in the summer. After several months of work, the structure decided to expand, and to become a permanent place, open all year round and no longer just in summer. “With the installation of a large tent to cover 700 m² of heated space, we will be able to accommodate up to 2,000 people each evening.“, specifies Juliette Prost, communication officer of the Baou. Located on the heights of the Saint-Antoine district, the place proposes special evenings. Every Friday, the public will be able to dance on the electro, while on Saturdays, it will be rap and hip hop artists who will be invited. And during the summer, throughout the months of June, July and August, appointments will be offered from Thursday to Sunday. In high season, there will be around fifty people who will work at Baou. He named his reopening tonight at Dutch DJ Palms Trax, playing at several festivals across Europe this summer.”The first 100 tickets are 10€, and artists are announced three weeks in advance. We’ll have headliners in the coming months, as well as up-and-coming artists“, emphasizes Juliette Prost. Concert hall, open-air bar, dance floor, free parking, eclectic programming… Le Baou is also planning surprises for its new season. A cocktail of innovations full of promise. 1 avenue de l’Argilité (16th), lebaou.fr
